About the Role
We are looking for a Validation Technician to build the test infrastructure that allows Base to ship new hardware and software with confidence. You will turn engineering designs into physical test benches and fixtures, from low-voltage signal harnesses to 240/480V power circuits, built to run around the clock.
Responsibilities
- Build and wire test benches and fixtures, from signal-level harnesses to 240/480V power circuits
- Document every build so a station can be replicated quickly as we add capacity
- Design and fabricate enclosures, mounting brackets, and racking systems built to run continuously, 24/7
- Decide when to fabricate a part in-house and when to send it out, and ensure it's built right either way
- Keep test systems running and ready for engineering and automated testing, 24/7
- Follow wiring schematics and match workmanship, safety, and inspection standards to the job
Requirements
- Hands-on experience wiring harnesses: cutting, stripping, labeling, and documenting the work so someone else can build it the same way
- Experience building both a low-voltage signal harness from a schematic and a 240/480V power circuit
- Experience designing or fabricating enclosures, mounting brackets, or racking systems
- Comfort with power tools and fabrication equipment of all kinds
- A team-first mentality and goal-oriented drive
- 1-3 years in electrical work, fabrication, motorsports, aerospace, or a similar hands-on technical role
- Apprenticeships and trade training count
