About the Role

Dome Productions is seeking an individual with strong interpersonal skills, technical aptitude, and live sports production knowledge to join our Remote Broadcast Centre as a Team Lead. You will support virtual ad replacement for live events as part of the operations and engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Validate that all required resources are in place and operational.
  • Confirm playlists and creative assets are prepared and ready for air before events.
  • Coordinate activities with on-site personnel.
  • Alert technicians and supervisors to technical issues.
  • Initiate bypass procedures when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in the gallery and with incoming feeds.
  • Troubleshoot IRC issues and provide solutions.
  • Set up galleries for broadcasts.
  • Provide a post-event report to the supervisor.
  • Oversee galleries and operators.
  • Work with technicians to organize and populate game monitoring.
  • Monitor off-air feeds.
  • Provide instructions to operators regarding their responsibilities for the day's events.
  • Give instructions to operators during calibrations, observe, and report issues to supervisors.
  • Send out NHL DED outage emails as needed.
  • Assist with calibrations and net captures.
  • Observe and assist operators with live game elements.
  • Continue to observe galleries during game play to ensure operators remain observant and engaged.
  • Ensure post-game uploads are completed.
  • Evaluate operator performance and effectiveness, tracking trends in skill and behavior.
  • Train new operators as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of TGI Sport/AIR Software and Procedures (calibration, net captures, director, playlists, uploads).
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and perform under pressure.
  • Ability to monitor multiple video streams concurrently.
  • Experience in a supervisory role.
  • Understanding of sports and entertainment mobile production, and video signal flow.
  • Detailed-oriented, multi-tasking, self-directed with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively under pressure and with a diverse group both in person and remotely.
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows OS/Server environment, and advanced PC skills are an asset.
  • Understanding of IP Transport & Streaming technology is an asset.
  • Required to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
