About the Role

As a Customer Assistant in a John Lewis shop, you will deliver outstanding customer service and highlight in-store experiences. You will also maintain exceptional shop standards through displays, stock availability, and cleanliness, aiming to build customer loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering engaging and inspirational customer service at every stage of the customer journey.
  • Using product knowledge and sales training to drive sales and increase profits.
  • Proactively acknowledging customers, understanding their needs, and resolving queries.
  • Working flexibly across the shop to support the wider team with tasks such as till support, stock replenishment, price ticketing, and general shop-keeping.
  • Identifying areas of improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Supporting accurate stock counts to protect profits.

Requirements

  • Varied hours of full and part time work across seven days to include early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends between the hours of 06:00 and 21:10

Salary/Compensations

  • £14.55 (£14.80 After 90 days)
  • Night Premium at a rate of £3.75 per hour for time worked between 22:00 - 06:00
