About the Role
The Dealer is responsible for the efficient and responsible operation of Table Games, conducting assigned games in a professional manner while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and efficient dealing at assigned table.
- Maintain continuous inspection of cards, ensuring their security.
- Exchange customer currency for checks (chips) and deposit paper currency in the drop box.
- Ensure the safety of all gaming chips and monies entrusted.
- Assist customers in playing and ensure adherence to established rules, policies, and procedures.
- Report any safety hazards to immediate supervisor.
- Conduct assigned games efficiently and responsibly, complying with the Nation Gaming Operation's rules and procedures.
- Keep the working environment clean and safe.
- Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security, including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.
- Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons.
- Communicate in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.
- Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
- Meet job attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
- Attend all necessary meetings.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Applicant must successfully complete dealer training or have previous casino dealing experience.
- Applicant must be fast and accurate in handling cash.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide.
- Ability to perform arithmetic operations using units of money.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to write routine correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
- Ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.
- Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Must be able to sit, stand for long periods, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
- Position requires fast, repetitive motion of hands and wrists.
- Position requires frequent reaching and bending over gaming tables.
- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment.
- Effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
- Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
