About the Role
TD Securities is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join its London-based Technology Investment Banking team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the execution of mergers & acquisitions, strategic advisory and capital raising transactions across a broad range of technology sectors. The role offers substantial responsibility, direct client interaction and the opportunity to contribute to the origination, execution and completion of high-profile transactions.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day execution workstreams across live M&A and strategic advisory mandates.
- Build and review complex financial models, including DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions, merger models and LBO analyses.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage interactions with clients, investors, legal advisers, accountants and other stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of marketing materials, process documentation and transaction deliverables.
- Assist in transaction negotiations, valuation discussions and deal structuring analysis.
- Prepare pitch books, strategic presentations and market updates for existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct industry research and competitive analysis across key technology sub-sectors.
- Identify sector trends, strategic opportunities and potential acquisition targets.
- Support senior bankers in developing client relationships and new business opportunities.
- Manage analysts across multiple workstreams and ensure deliverables are completed to a high standard.
- Review financial models, presentations and analyses prepared by junior team members.
- Maintain project timelines across multiple concurrent transactions.
- Contribute to training, coaching and development of analysts within the team.
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years of investment banking (M&A) or corporate finance experience.
- Demonstrated M&A execution experience, preferably within technology, software, fintech or related sectors.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality client work.
- Bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
