About the Role

Write code to add new software features to applications using Golang or other languages where appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to design and implementation of databases, design schemas and create efficient queries and access patterns.
  • Participate in and contribute to Agile software development ceremonies.
  • Participate in code reviews and assist in maintaining high code quality.
  • Refactor application code to address shortcomings and/or improve stability, performance, and scalability.
  • Coordinate with team leads, architects and other engineers on product design and architecture.
  • Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Work with Red Hat’s global customer support teams to aid them in assisting customers.
  • Work with continuous integration (CI) and delivery (CD) and respond to security threats.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
  • Five (5) years of experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Golang, Python, Java, C#, or C or C++.
  • Three (3) years of experience with microservices architecture and concepts including APIs, versioning, and monitoring.
  • Two (2) years of experience with container-related technologies, virtualization, or distributed systems.
  • Two (2) years of experience with one or more public cloud service providers: AWS, GCP, Azure.
  • One (1) year of experience with database design and implementation.
