About the Role

This role oversees the development and relationship management of designated third-party product and service providers. The primary focus is driving category objectives, which include ensuring robust governance, continuous risk monitoring, strategic cost management, and successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain and develop effective and sustainable partnerships with third parties to ensure seamless service delivery across relevant Capital One Lines of Business (LOBs)
  • Ensure third-party suppliers strictly adhere to Capital One policies, frameworks and processes, as well as relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Source, evaluate, and onboard new third-party partnerships to meet evolving business needs where required
  • Drive end-to-end contract management by establishing proactive renewal and exist strategies aligned with business requirements and timelines
  • Design, monitor and review on a regular basis, third party management information and reports against committed service levels
  • Liaise across third party providers to resolve conflicts and develop mutually beneficial relationships between them and internal customers
  • Ensure that appropriate governance and audit arrangements are in place and operated effectively with each third party
  • Effectively manage change management resulting from altering conditions that could impact business processes, services or products
  • Facilitate rapid delivery of ad hoc / project requests
  • Establish and maintain effective reporting and information exchange mechanisms to deliver clear, timely, and actionable insights.
  • Ensure regular meetings / interactions with internal customers to relay relevant information

Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience working in a cross-functional environment, ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed effectively
  • At least 3 years experience in a supply chain or third party relationship management function
  • Strong market knowledge within different sourcing and supplier management categories relevant to the credit card business to include deep negotiation, communication, contract and influencing skills with the ability to optimize on pricing structures.
