About the Role
The Events Activation Senior Specialist coordinates and plans exceptional BDO-branded live and online event interactions for clients, contacts, and prospects, aligning with business and go-to-market strategies. This role manages the end-to-end planning and execution process, leveraging team members and vendors for successful day-of delivery.
Responsibilities
- Owns communication and logistics throughout the planning process.
- Works closely with Events Activation colleagues to create opportunities for cross-firm collaboration in events.
- Negotiates with vendors to achieve maximum value for the best product and services.
- Oversees the event budget and ensures accuracy in developing estimates, working and actual spends.
- Handles all event audio-video production from creative concept to final production.
- Helps to develop success measures and evaluate all events against objectives, recommending areas for improvement.
- Coordinates and leads the invitation and registration process.
- Offers on-site supervision or transition as necessary.
- Performs post-event duties such as expense processing, invoice reconciliation, evaluations, and sharing feedback.
- Champions the BDO brand in all event marketing activities.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Possesses knowledge of contractual language as it pertains to meetings and events.
- Four (4) or more years of marketing/event planning/administrative experience required.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Travel up to 20% of the time, as needed.

- Strong planning, managing, and coordinating skills.
- Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Active listener and interpreter enabling him/her to transform the client’s thoughts into reality.
- Ability to understand the context of the event and the type of guests attending.
- Experience planning budgets, negotiating, and communicating with clients.
- Critical thinker and problem solver.
Experience Level
- Four (4) or more years of experience
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or Marketing preferred
Salary/Compensations
- National Range: $70,000 - $90,000
- Colorado Range: $70,000 - $90,000
- Maryland Range: $70,000 - $90,000
- NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $70,000 - $90,000
