About the Role

Join us as a Cook where your contributions will make a significant impact on our guests' experiences! As a cook you will ensure customer satisfaction by preparing and serving high quality food products in a safe and cost effective manner in order to achieve maximum guest satisfaction and protect the assets of the hotel. Responsibilities

  • Complete all prep work related to the menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner.
  • Communicate with the Chef regarding specials for the day, special instructions, forecasts, and reservations.
  • Control food usage to minimize waste.
  • Prepare and cook orders in accordance with portion and quality standards specified in recipes.
  • Advisor supervisor of low inventory items; assist in receiving items and taking inventory as required.
  • Complete daily cleaning and sanitize all areas of the kitchen.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and well-organized work area, including reach-ins, walk-ins and counters.
  • Ensure all foods are stored in proper containers and shelving order.
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
  • Maintains a safe and secure environment for guests and associates.
  • Maintain a clean, pleasant, and professional image to the guest.
  • Assist by performing dish washing or other kitchen duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Working in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with Cook established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company associates to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
  • Requires strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills required.
  • Must have open availability work weekends and holidays.
  • Move, transport, put, install, remove, replace, position, place, and transfer.
  • Move about or to, position self.
  • Operate, adjust, attach, position, set up, handle, tend to activate, apply, measure, use, modify, input, compile, retrieve, make, create, collect, inspect, prepare, service.
  • Stand for extended periods of time.

  • Determine, identify, recognize, perceive, estimate, judgment, compare, observe, assess.
  • Ability to bend, lift, kneel, and be in motion for the full day.
  • Must be able to move continuously during work hours and able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds.
