About the Role

Serve as the primary driver of AI enablement and solutions engineering across all departments at Checkr. This hands-on role blends deep technical expertise with a passion for teaching and empowering others to unlock the full potential of AI.

Responsibilities

  • Embed with internal teams to understand workflows, gather requirements, and identify AI use cases.
  • Translate business needs into actionable technical solutions.
  • Own and facilitate recurring AI office hours for support.
  • Design and lead company-wide AI hackathons.
  • Evaluate, configure, and recommend AI tools and platforms.
  • Make informed build-vs-buy recommendations for AI tooling.
  • Design, develop, and deploy custom AI solutions using LLMs, RAG architectures, and agentic workflows.
  • Develop reusable playbooks, prompt libraries, workflow templates, and how-to guides.
  • Architect and implement standardized, templatizable AI workflows.
  • Lead hands-on training sessions, workshops, and demos on AI tools.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI technologies.
  • Contribute to the organizational AI strategy and roadmap.
  • Present findings, demo solutions, and advocate for AI adoption to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, solutions engineering, or technical enablement roles.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing AI-centric products and solutions.
  • Deep proficiency in Python.
  • Experience with AI frameworks and integration of LLM models into applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enablement programs.
  • Proven experience gathering requirements from non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional ability to tackle open-ended, ambiguous problems.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • A builder’s mindset: comfortable architecting, coding, creating training decks, and facilitating workshops.
  • A deep passion for AI and a desire to help others harness its potential.

Salary/Compensations

  • $177,000—$208,000 USD
