About the Role
Sofitel New York is seeking a self-motivated hospitality professional to join its dynamic sales and marketing team as a Sales & Marketing Coordinator. This role supports the Director of Sales and Marketing and Marketing Managers with all aspects of the marketing process, requiring a detail-oriented, proactive individual capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Marketing Manager with daily tasks.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the hotel and group partners/planners, communicating professionally and responding promptly via phone and email.
- Prepare VIP amenities.
- Manage booking links and reservation changes.
- Ensure timely payment processing.
- Greet clients on-site and ensure their experience is successful.
- Support the Director of Sales and Marketing with general office administration.
- Assist with light marketing projects.
- Manage vendor relationships.
- Prepare purchase orders.
- Handle corporate office requests and community partner communications.
- Provide light support to the business travel team.
- Support the design, production, and execution of digital and printed marketing collateral, including in-house brand materials, signage, video displays, promotional posters, flyers, and food & beverage menus.
- Ensure all printed and digital materials, guest communications, and property signage adhere strictly to brand guidelines.
- Assist the external social media agency with content creation ideas, editorial planning, and prompt review of draft posts.
- Assist with on-site coordination for photoshoots and video productions.
- Coordinate influencer stays, managing itineraries, stays, and on-property logistics.
- Assist with regular updates and content management across brand and group web platforms, ensuring accuracy of information, offers, and visual assets.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of hotel experience.
- Luxury hotel background preferred in the primary market.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel required.
- Experience with Delphi, Opera, and Cvent preferred.
- Passion for customer service.
- Outgoing and spirited personality.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Desire to meet and exceed expectations.
- Organized with a team player attitude.
- Willingness to assist with additional projects or requests.
- Some schedule flexibility requested at high demand times.
- Front desk experience preferred.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
