About the Role
The Data Entry Specialist role involves reviewing and processing legal documents, accurately entering client and case information into company databases, and verifying data accuracy. This position supports service of process and court filing operations, working collaboratively with various teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments within client deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Perform all data entry-related tasks, including sorting, proofing, updating, mailing, and storing.
- Maintain data files accurately.
- Compile, sort, verify, and correct data to be entered.
- Review data for completeness and accuracy.
- Manage filing and routing of source documents after entry.
- Maintain records of work completed.
- Update data in appropriate databases accurately and timely to avoid backlogging.
- Establish data naming standards and consistent definitions to improve overall data quality.
- Process and resolve data inquiries by searching and reviewing the databases.
- Assist the process team and support new team members.
- Monitor productivity goals and prioritize assignments.
Requirements
- Must be dependable, reliable, and flexible with a strong work ethic.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Able to take instructions and execute them promptly.
Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams)
- Knowledge of PDF programs
