About the Role

This role is for a Divisional Account Manager leading the Sell-Side Team, focused on expanding client relationships and driving revenue growth within S&P Global Market Intelligence. The position involves managing existing client accounts, focusing on net revenue growth through sales and retention, and ensuring a positive client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure client satisfaction while achieving revenue targets and strategic account objectives.
  • Build and execute comprehensive account strategies that identify opportunities for engagement, growth and expansion across Market Intelligence products and services.
  • Adopt a structured approach to tracking activity, ensuring pipeline accuracy, and forecasting results effectively.
  • Mentor members of the account management team, sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative, client-centric culture.
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of current regulatory, industry and economic events impacting clients and product relevance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Sales Specialists, Customer Support, Product Management, Chief Client Office and Legal to ensure a cohesive approach to addressing client needs.
  • Represent S&P Global in key client meetings, industry events, and executive briefings, providing market insights that inform product development and go-to-market strategies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in account management, sales, or commercial leadership roles within financial services, preferably engaging with banks and sell-side clients.
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor a high-performing team with a growth mindset.
  • Strong understanding of financial workflows and the ability to communicate complex solutions clearly and persuasively.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Effective influencer with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Client-centric mindset with strong relationship-building and partnership skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a growth mindset balancing short- and long-term goals.
