About the Role
Join a movement to change the way Europe pays with Wero, a digital wallet making payments easier, clearer, and more secure. This role directly influences company strategy by shaping investment and resource allocation decisions across Product, Engineering, and Design.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end budgeting and financial planning across Product, Engineering, and Design, ensuring alignment with company objectives and Finance processes.
- Build and maintain scalable budgeting, forecasting, and reporting frameworks to support data-driven decision-making and resource allocation.
- Prepare business cases, financial models, and investment analyses to support leadership and Board-level decisions.
- Challenge cost assumptions and investment proposals to optimize spending and improve prioritization across teams.
- Enable efficient, transparent, and compliant sourcing processes while ensuring visibility and control of spend through procurement governance.
- Maintain oversight of vendors, contracts, and external spend, identifying risks, optimization opportunities, and cost efficiencies.
- Drive governance of tools and systems used across Product, Engineering, and Design, ensuring cost control, access management, and operational effectiveness.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CPTO and leadership team, providing structured insights and recommendations on financial and operational matters.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional experience in financial planning, business operations, FP&A, strategy, procurement, or a related function.
- Fluent in English (CEFR C1 or C2).
- Thrive in a remote-first, multicultural environment.
- Strong hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and financial planning processes.
- Proven experience partnering with senior executives in technology, fintech, or similarly complex environments.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and influence decisions.
- Experience managing sourcing, procurement processes, vendor relationships, or contract governance.
- Familiarity with Product, Engineering, or Design organizations and their operational and budgeting challenges.
