About the Role
Develop and monitor employee development initiatives, including coordination and facilitation of all agency-wide and departments specific training programs as well as community-wide initiatives and trainings.
Responsibilities
- Manage and operate the HealthStream Learning Management System.
- Participate in the onboarding of new staff.
- Assist the program management team with evaluating and updating training curricula.
- Research available training topics.
- Facilitate module and curriculum enrollments.
- Input face-to-face training attendance records.
- Report monthly on incomplete or overdue tasks.
- Collaborate with Division & Program Directors to create and execute annual training plans.
- Become a certified trainer and conduct agency staff trainings.
- Qualify additional department-specific trainers.
- Maintain a list of agency employees who are certified trainers and ensure certifications remain valid.
- Develop relationships with local training resources to increase in-person training availability.
- Communicate agency-wide about training opportunities and resources via email and Intranet.
- Communicate available trainings to behavioral health partners.
- Maintain the agency's status as an approved provider of continuing education credits.
- Coordinate receipt of credit for trainings conducted.
- Develop a system for including community partners in agency-provided trainings.
- Assist licensed staff members with tracking CEUs for license renewals.
- Facilitate the agency Leadership Program.
- Develop and maintain a Peer Specialist certification program.
- Assist peers or service recipients toward provisional and full credentials.
- Participate in Quality Improvement activities and data collection regarding training program efficacy.
- Facilitate New Hire Orientation and ensure appropriate introductory training.
- Organize and/or facilitate role-specific training sessions.
- Deliver Mental Health First Aid to various communities.
- Track referral to Mental Health resources and services using Survey Monkey.
- Implement community outreach and engagement strategies.
- Coordinate the internal tracking system for trainings, presentations, and community events.
- Oversee grant funding, schedule initial trainings, and develop/update resource lists.
- Conduct training surveys.
- Promote Mental Health on social media.
- Organize, tally, and analyze data to improve outcomes.
- Participate in instructional trainings with the National Council for Behavior Health.
- Input data into SPARS and submit required reports.
- Attend monthly SAMSHA meetings to provide feedback and data.
- Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities.
- Complete QI Training during onboarding and participate in QI refresher training.
- Cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Demonstrate commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Five years' experience in the healthcare field.
- Knowledge of behavioral health issues.
- Teaching experience.
- Experience with web-based training software preferred.
- Experience with navigating continuing education programs preferred.
- Ability to cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees that respects their individual strengths, views and experiences.
- Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following established safety guidelines.
- Include any relevant knowledge or experience regarding health and safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
