Responsibilities
- Performs all job duties/essential job functions for position of Customer Service Representative.
- Demonstrates skill in selling products and services to each prospective customer inquiring about the Center, and can quantify and teach these skills.
- Responsible for cash management including accepting cash, check and credit payments for center services and for end-of-day cash drawer balance.
- Supervises sales activities, assists customers and communicates information to CSRs as directed by the Manager.
- Responds to customer complaints in a professional, courteous manner and acts to satisfactorily resolve the problem, at the direction of the Manager.
- Trains Customer Service Representatives, including but not limited to Associate Certification Training, at the direction of Management.
- Assists Management with Administrative Duties, including but not limited to financial reports, computer reports, balancing cash drawer.
- Acts as key holder, opening and closing center as directed.
- Responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the lobby and front desk areas.
- Completes all required training and attends training sessions as needed/assigned.
- Responds to computer reservation system questions or problems and reports them to Manager or contacts IT support.
- Manages retail inventory if assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven track record as a Best Friends Customer Service Representative.
- Customer Service Associate Certification
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have excellent telephone skills.
- Ability to think clearly and quickly to resolve problems.
- Must possess a love of animals.
- Displays a professional manner at all times.
- Must be able to work evenings weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to frequently lift 40 pounds.
- Must be able to be on feet eight hours per day and be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
- Must be able to utilize multi-line telephone and be able to work on computer system.
- Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.
