About the Role

Pivotal Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Case Execution team, which is responsible for critical components of the case execution workflow, including eligibility, batching, submissions, ops workflows, and claim orchestration. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives on solving complex, workflow-driven backend challenges and working with data-heavy decision logic, particularly in the technically demanding areas of eligibility and batching.

Responsibilities

Build and improve core case execution systems, owning backend development across eligibility, batching, submissions, ops workflows, and claim orchestration.
Tackle complex, data-driven backend problems, working through decision logic and data-heavy workflows for eligibility and batching.
Contribute to workflow orchestration systems that coordinate case staging, routing, and execution.
Collaborate with the Integrations team, Case Strategy team, and other engineering and product partners.
Contribute to front-end and admin workflows where needed, focusing primarily on backend development.

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
Strong engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience building data-heavy, workflow-oriented systems.
Experience working on complex, data-driven decision logic or orchestration problems.
Comfortable operating in a collaborative, fast-moving startup environment.
Python experience; able to work effectively in a Python-based backend environment.
Self-directed and proactive.
Strong communicator who collaborates well across engineering, product, and adjacent teams.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
