As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will respond to situations with professionalism while supporting a welcoming environment for customers and staff. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store team members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and first responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for suspicious activity, potential loss prevention concerns, and hazards; document observations and complete required incident reports in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain professional firearm handling practices and comply with all applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific post orders.
Requirements
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
