About the Role

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will respond to situations with professionalism while supporting a welcoming environment for customers and staff. Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store team members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and first responders when needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
Monitor for suspicious activity, potential loss prevention concerns, and hazards; document observations and complete required incident reports in accordance with site procedures.
Maintain professional firearm handling practices and comply with all applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific post orders.

Requirements

Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
