About the Role
The 360 Bartender prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for customers of 360 Restaurant. The role ensures the bar area is clean, properly stocked, and organized for service, adhering to standard drink recipes and accommodating special requests.
Responsibilities
- Mix and dispense alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages according to established recipes.
- Complete beer counts and daily bar requisitions to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Pick up and put away beverages from base, ensuring proper rotation.
- Pour wine and provide bottled beer and glass to Captains.
- Maintain effective portion controls using established pouring methods and proper equipment.
- Ensure bar services comply with Smart Serve regulations.
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to all federal, provincial, and local policies and regulations.
- Communicate with management regarding deficiencies in bar stock, beverages, or wines.
- Maintain cleanliness of bars throughout service.
- Ensure standards of appearance and sanitation are maintained daily.
- Maintain CO2 tanks according to Standard Operating Procedures and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Set up beverage station and cut fruit for bar service.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menus, products, ingredients, and potential allergies.
- Assist with building the cocktail program.
- Follow up with management regarding special functions or events.
- Participate in departmental skills training.
- Assist with other designated duties within the job classification.
- Adhere to all Company policies, departmental procedures, and the Collective Agreement.
Requirements
- One to three years of related fine dining experience in a bartender capacity is required.
- A diploma from a secondary school is required.
- Wine and spirits courses or program is required.
- Smart Serve certification is required.
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of the day.
- Flexible to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Requires handling of light and moderate weight objects including CN Tower merchandise/inventory, office equipment and other office supplies.
- Lifting or moving up to 25 kilograms as required.
