About the Role

Join NVIDIA as a Research Scientist to revolutionize healthcare and accelerate drug discovery using cutting-edge GPU technology. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, developing tools that redefine possibilities in drug discovery and virtual cell research.

Responsibilities

  • Build models and datasets connecting early drug discovery to the clinic, including drug perturbation prediction, clinical translatability, patient stratification, and digital twins.
  • Design benchmarks and evaluation methods for agentic systems in this domain, and characterize where current LLMs underperform.
  • Publish original research and release open-source software.
  • Collaborate with external research leaders in digital biology.
  • Partner with research and engineering teams across NVIDIA to move research into products and services.

Requirements

  • BS/MS or PhD in a quantitative field (computational biology, computer science, computational chemistry, physics, mathematics) or equivalent experience.
  • Publication record in digital biology, ideally with clinical applications.
  • 5+ years of experience building and training machine learning models at scale, along with supporting compute infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
  • Fluency with the statistical foundations of the work (causal inference, experimental design, or clinical biostatistics).
  • Ability to learn from and teach others to stay current with field developments and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a tight-knit team environment.
