About the Role

Fi is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee end-to-end US fulfillment operations, including managing the 3PL relationship, inbound freight, and overall fulfillment costs. This hands-on role requires a proactive individual to ensure warehouse performance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Own the US 3PL relationship, including cadence, scorecards, escalations, and business reviews.
  • Ensure warehouse performance on customer-facing metrics like on-time ship rate and order accuracy.
  • Drive root cause analysis and resolution for fulfillment errors, partnering with Customer Experience.
  • Manage inventory integrity through WMS accuracy, cycle counts, and physical audits.
  • Oversee kitting, assembly, and value-add work orders, and ensure adequate staffing for peak periods.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse functions.
  • Manage inbound freight from supplier to warehouse receipt, including bookings and mode selection.
  • Oversee relationships with forwarders and brokers, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
  • Support the setup of new fulfillment nodes and international warehouses.
  • Manage the fulfillment cost line, including cost per order, storage, and outbound parcel costs.
  • Audit 3PL and carrier invoices to identify and resolve billing errors.
  • Negotiate and manage carrier rate cards, conducting rate reviews and re-bids.
  • Identify and implement cost-down initiatives to reduce cost per unit without impacting service.
  • Partner with finance on logistics budgeting, accruals, and forecasting.
  • Manage the end-to-end returns process, including intake, grading, and disposition.
  • Provide feedback on return reasons to relevant teams to address defects at the source.
  • Integrate fulfillment realities into planning and commercial discussions.
  • Collaborate with data and engineering teams to automate tracking and improve shipment visibility.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in logistics, fulfillment, or 3PL operations, preferably in consumer hardware or DTC.
  • Direct experience managing a 3PL or operating a distribution center.
  • Proficiency in supply chain finance, including landed cost, cost per unit, and cost per order modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with inbound freight, including forwarders, ocean and air, and customs brokerage.
  • Proven track record of auditing invoices and recovering funds.
  • Experience designing and managing reverse logistics and returns processes.
  • High data literacy and experience with ERP and WMS systems (NetSuite or similar).
  • Strong systems thinking and a bias for action.
  • Experience scaling logistics operations at a hardware or IoT company.
  • Experience with multi-node or multi-3PL network management.
  • Experience with international expansion, including customs, VAT, and non-US warehouses.
  • Exposure to retail compliance, including routing guides, EDI, and chargeback disputes.
  • Six Sigma or formal process improvement training is a plus.
  • SQL and strong spreadsheet skills are a plus.
