About the Role
Canons High School is seeking an energetic, resourceful, and flexible individual to serve as a Science Technician. This role involves coordinating, providing, and developing support services for the Science Department, preparing practical resources and facilities, and assisting with the practical needs of the Science curriculum for Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The position requires excellent people skills, good ICT proficiency, and the ability to manage one's own workload.
Responsibilities
- Co-ordination, provision, and development of support services to the Science Department.
- Preparation of practical resources and facilities for scientific use.
- Assistance and advice on practical needs of the Science curriculum at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Liaising with teaching and support staff within and outside the department to support effective learning.
Requirements
- Excellent people skills.
- Good level of ICT proficiency.
- Ability to manage own workload.
- Commitment to safeguarding of all children.
- Must be able to provide satisfactory references.
- Must pass an enhanced DBS Check.
