About the Role
Coordinate and contribute to the marketing and negotiation of casualty business within the Lloyd’s and Company Markets, aligning with Marketing Strategy. This role involves leading a team and providing guidance, coaching, and support to team members.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
- Support reports in their day-to-day roles.
- Act as a point of escalation for reports.
- Set SMART objectives and support their completion.
- Conduct monthly check-ins to ensure objectives are on track.
- Assist in setting career development plans for all reports.
- Define marketing strategy specific to placement.
- Review submissions.
- Lead quote broking and follow market broking.
- Present terms to clients and network.
- Perform firm order broking (Ebix / wet stamps / email).
- Record broking activity in market sheets.
- Review draft and final MRC.
- Send cover confirmation to clients and network.
- Provide benchmarking and placement advice to clients.
- Attend client meetings.
- Respond to A/C queries.
- Establish and manage pipeline.
- Travel to see US network colleagues and clients.
Requirements
- Experience in the London Casualty market.
- International / UK market experience considered.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Sound understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes.
- Established relationships within the London market.
- Excellent technical insurance knowledge from within the London Market.
- Experience managing effective client relationships.
- Previous experience managing and/or mentoring team members regarding development and performance.
- Ability to interpret and use data effectively.
- Understanding of compliance and FCA regulations.
