About the Role
Protective Industrial Products is seeking a highly motivated Payroll Accountant to manage payroll and travel & expense accounting. This role requires a collaborative, analytical, and problem-solving individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly, biweekly, and monthly journal entries, accruals, forecasts, and reconciliations for payroll and compensation transactions.
- Balance payroll, payroll tax, and vendor service bank activity to support budgeting and audits.
- Coordinate timely payroll tax filings with the payroll provider.
- Support integration efforts for acquired companies and system implementations.
- Manage the SAP Concur Travel and Expense reporting system, process monthly expenses and accruals, assist with audits, and initiate reimbursements.
- Prepare payroll and employment-related reports.
- Provide backup for the US Payroll Administrator.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in payroll accounting or related accounting roles.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
- Experience in integrated travel and expense systems (SAP Concur) preferred.
- Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Lyric) preferred.
- Experience with ERP platforms (Epicor Solar Eclipse/SysPro ERP) preferred.
- American Payroll Association FPC or CPP certification preferred.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
