About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with Sales, Solutions Architects, and Engineering teams to manage the customer pipeline, anticipate demand, and proactively address infrastructure availability challenges. Your ability to solve problems and collaborate across teams will help ensure customers receive the right resources at the right time, driving satisfaction and long-term success. By balancing supply and demand effectively, you will play a key role in delivering a smooth and scalable cloud experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts for cloud infrastructure resources, factoring in customer pipeline data, market trends, and historical usage patterns.
- Align capacity planning with sales projections to ensure the right infrastructure is available at the right time.
- Work with engineering and operations teams to optimize supply/demand matching for compute, storage, and network capacity.
- Partner with GTM, Solutions Architects, and Product teams to track customer demand signals, translating them into actionable infrastructure requirements.
- Evaluate enterprise customer projects to anticipate capacity needs and minimize deployment bottlenecks.
- Identify gaps in supply planning and recommend proactive solutions to support high-priority deals.
- Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, and Datacenter Operations teams to optimize resource investments while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Provide strategic insights to Leadership on demand trends, capacity constraints, and risks.
- Track forecast accuracy, infrastructure utilization rates, and demand variances, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
- Identify process inefficiencies and drive improvements in demand planning workflows.
- Analyze historical demand forecasts and actuals to create dashboards & reporting of key metrics across all product lines.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-7 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or capacity planning—ideally in cloud, data center, or IT infrastructure industries.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence stakeholders across technical and business teams.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting models and data visualization tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar).
- Ability to make recommendations in an ambiguous environment.
- Experience working with demand planning and supply chain management software.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure components (compute, storage, networking) and how they scale.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
