About the Role
Toromont Cat is seeking Heavy Equipment Technicians to service Caterpillar equipment and components in our shop. The role involves planning, troubleshooting, repairing, and preparing service reports, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
- Repair and service Caterpillar and all heavy equipment within the established standards
- Prepare accurate service and repair reports in a timely manner
- Maintain excellent customer relations through frequent communication
- Undertake assignments as required in support of customer needs
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of working experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy engine equipment
- 421A Red Seal license in heavy equipment (310T with 3 years or more working on heavy construction or mining equipment also considered)
