About the Role
Dish Society is seeking passionate Shift Leads who are dedicated to food, hospitality, and team success. This role supports the Front of House team, ensures smooth operations during shifts, and acts as a key point of contact when senior managers are unavailable.
Responsibilities
- Assist with various tasks including taking orders, serving food, preparing drinks, and helping guests.
- Manage shift operations and facilitate communication between Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams.
- Monitor ticket times, guest experiences, and team positioning during shifts.
- Provide real-time coaching and positive leadership to team members during busy periods.
- Execute opening and closing procedures for the restaurant using established checklists.
- Demonstrate strong work ethic, cleanliness, and hospitality standards.
- Address and resolve minor guest issues, escalating more complex situations as needed.
- Embody and promote Dish Society's core values: hospitality, pride, growth, and connectedness.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is required.
- Must possess strong leadership qualities, remaining calm under pressure and communicating effectively.
- Must be reliable, organized, and prepared to lead and support the team.
- Must be passionate about service and enjoy interacting with guests and colleagues.
- Must have open availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
