About the Role

The Clinician- Limited Permit manages a client caseload, identifying goals and objectives to improve emotional, social, and daily functioning under the guidance of a clinical supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial history assessments.
  • Assist clients in creating and maintaining person-centered treatment plans.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings, treatment teams, and supervision sessions.
  • Complete mandatory documentation in the EHR within regulatory timelines.
  • Empower clients and demonstrate sensitivity to cultural, racial, ethnic, and sexual orientation backgrounds.
  • Provide linkage to community resources and identify unmet needs.
  • Deliver crisis management services to clients and families.
  • Develop comprehensive discharge plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling for mental health and substance use.
  • Collaborate with local agencies such as DSS, Probation, and Drug Court.
  • Perform urine drug screens on clients.
  • Comply with OMH, OASAS, and New York State and Federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work or mental health from an accredited school.
  • License eligible status.
  • Maintain professional licensure status if applicable.
  • Commitment to continuing professional education.
