About the Role
The Clinician- Limited Permit manages a client caseload, identifying goals and objectives to improve emotional, social, and daily functioning under the guidance of a clinical supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial history assessments.
- Assist clients in creating and maintaining person-centered treatment plans.
- Attend weekly staff meetings, treatment teams, and supervision sessions.
- Complete mandatory documentation in the EHR within regulatory timelines.
- Empower clients and demonstrate sensitivity to cultural, racial, ethnic, and sexual orientation backgrounds.
- Provide linkage to community resources and identify unmet needs.
- Deliver crisis management services to clients and families.
- Develop comprehensive discharge plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling for mental health and substance use.
- Collaborate with local agencies such as DSS, Probation, and Drug Court.
- Perform urine drug screens on clients.
- Comply with OMH, OASAS, and New York State and Federal regulations.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work or mental health from an accredited school.
- License eligible status.
- Maintain professional licensure status if applicable.
- Commitment to continuing professional education.
