About the Role
The Brewing Quality Specialist will develop and continuously improve brewing and seltzer department quality programs, aligning with the Brewery and National Quality Continuous Improvement Strategy. This role involves monitoring analytical and microbiological trends, reviewing quality process deviations, and supporting continuous improvement in sensory, GMP, and food safety. The individual will act as a Subject Matter Expert to manage and enhance results, meeting Quality Business Needs and the brewery’s Quality and Food Safety Plan.
Responsibilities
- Promote quality excellence and execution throughout the Brewery to improve overall quality, adherence to standards, and alignment to overall site objectives.
- Support and lead the continuous improvement of Brewing and Seltzer quality programs, including analytical, microbiological, and sensory trends.
- Audit adherence to Process Standards for Brewing, Seltzer, and Food Safety, providing feedback for corrective actions.
- Support and coach Brewing and Seltzer operations teams on top loss quality and food safety activities.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and continuous improvement related to Quality and Food Safety.
- Support Brewing and Seltzer departments with Non-Conforming materials related to quality, collaborating with the North American Supplier Quality Team.
- Promote development and implementation of the Quality Food Safety Pillar.
- Serve as a resource and coach for established quality standards, procedures, quality education, sanitation, and brewing and seltzer knowledge.
- Provide Quality technical knowledge and support to optimize existing equipment and processes, as well as new technology.
- Support the Quality Team cross-functionally as needed, including traceability exercises, dispositioning of product, reports, and root cause analysis.
Requirements
- Motivated leader capable of inspiring others, respecting commitments, and obtaining optimal results through respect.
- Diplomatic, professional, and exercises great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships.
- Possess in-depth technical and quality knowledge of beverage manufacturing.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to present information, data, and propose solutions based on identified gaps.
- Knowledge of regulatory agencies (CFIA, FDA) and GFSI and HACCP standards is an asset.
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a Beverage or Food manufacturing Quality environment.
- Experience conducting internal audits and participating in third-party audits.
- Brewing or Beverage Laboratory, Quality, and Lean Manufacturing experience is considered a strong asset.
- Candidates will be required to provide consent to complete a criminal background check.

- $89,900.00 - $118,000.00
- 11% target short term incentive
