About the Role

The Alternative Investment Technical Specialist associate will provide support to Alternative Investment Specialists and Financial Advisors on a suite of hedge fund products to drive utilization. The associate will assist in coordinating custom alternative investments proposals and internal collateral related to hedge fund investing.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver customized, client-approved portfolio analyses within a defined timeframe with a high degree of detail and specificity.
  • Maintain and update an ongoing pipeline of sales opportunities across strategies, and track sales related to those opportunities.
  • Manage ongoing collateral to report on performance and updates to hedge fund strategies and platform.
  • Partner with AI Technical Specialists on aspects of portfolio construction, manager selection, product design, and fund terms.
  • Participate in meetings with third-party hedge fund management firms to build knowledge base around investment concepts and strategies.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in financial services
  • Series 7 and 66 licenses, or the ability to obtain both within 120 days of hire
  • Working knowledge of alternative investments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
