About the Role
The Alternative Investment Technical Specialist associate will provide support to Alternative Investment Specialists and Financial Advisors on a suite of hedge fund products to drive utilization. The associate will assist in coordinating custom alternative investments proposals and internal collateral related to hedge fund investing.
Responsibilities
- Deliver customized, client-approved portfolio analyses within a defined timeframe with a high degree of detail and specificity.
- Maintain and update an ongoing pipeline of sales opportunities across strategies, and track sales related to those opportunities.
- Manage ongoing collateral to report on performance and updates to hedge fund strategies and platform.
- Partner with AI Technical Specialists on aspects of portfolio construction, manager selection, product design, and fund terms.
- Participate in meetings with third-party hedge fund management firms to build knowledge base around investment concepts and strategies.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in financial services
- Series 7 and 66 licenses, or the ability to obtain both within 120 days of hire
- Working knowledge of alternative investments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
