Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patient and family needs.
- Identify patient outcomes based on needs assessment and establish plans of care.
- Supervise patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
- Maintain education and competencies for high-quality patient care.
- Incorporate evidence-based nursing practice, considering statutes, rules, and regulations.
- Establish realistic and measurable patient outcomes in collaboration with family and patient.
- Identify age-appropriate, culturally appropriate, realistic, and attainable outcomes.
- Coordinate, collaborate, and delegate appropriately to ensure safe and effective care.
- Fulfill all organizational requirements.
- Demonstrate ability to coordinate, delegate, and direct unit operations as Charge Nurse.
- Identify orientee's learning needs, plan learning experiences, and validate clinical competence as Preceptor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's or Vocational degree required.
- Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required if working in state of MN upon hire / WI Department of Safety & Professional Services required if working in the state of WI upon hire.
- Must hold current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or complete Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire.
- Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently.
