About the Role
This role offers a front-office coverage opportunity within Citi’s Commercial Banking team, focusing on the Industrials sector. The Associate will gain foundational knowledge, real-world experience, and contribute to new business development and relationship management. The position provides significant exposure to debt, equity, cash management, rates, and FX solutions, aiming to develop future commercial banking leaders.
Responsibilities
- Act as a primary contributor and reviewer in all facets of deal execution, including in-depth financial analysis, complex financial modeling, risk analysis, and due diligence for credit extensions to new and existing clients.
- Support senior bankers in managing client relationships and interact with various internal partners to deliver integrated financial solutions.
- Conduct detailed company research and industry analysis to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities within the Industrials vertical.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Requirements
- 3+ years of work experience
- Commercial banking experience with proficient knowledge of banking products
- Knowledge of accounting, finance and credit
- Ability to work effectively in team setting
- Relationship management experience
- Excellent analytical and cash-flow modeling skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Quality analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Must be able to secure and/or maintain SIE, 63 and 79 securities licenses within 150 days of joining
