About the Role
Aetna’s Manager, Capture Strategy & Analysis plays a critical role in supporting the capture (proposal preparedness) and proposal lifecycle. This role is responsible for directing in-depth market, customer, and competitor research to inform capture strategy and proposal development, directly impacting and influencing our success rate on multi-billion-dollar procurements. By turning complex intelligence into clear, actionable insights, the analyst helps power Aetna Better Health’s Medicaid growth strategy and winning proposal responses.
Responsibilities
- Curate market intelligence on customer and competitor programs, weaknesses, innovations, and performance.
- Develop actionable insights from market research to inform strategic decision-making and drive customer-centric approaches.
- Collaborate with the Capture Director and business partners to develop documents and tools for assigned opportunities.
- Design and execute research studies, review market data, and translate findings into actionable market strategies.
- Interpret and adapt strategic concepts to instruct or coach business partners and consultants.
- Organize and maintain research outputs in SharePoint, ensuring accessibility for proposal writers and stakeholders.
- Synthesize research findings into clear reports, presentations, and dashboards for various organizational levels.
- Track progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables impacting business growth.
- Provide insight, recommendations, and relevant intelligence to proposal team members during the proposal process.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Medicaid Managed Care.
- 5+ years of specialized experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or strategic analysis.
- Demonstrated experience developing competitor analyses and actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently based on strategic direction with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated skill in creating PowerPoint presentations that transform detailed research into clear, well-organized slides.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proven project management skills and a track record of meeting milestones in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate research into strategic recommendations.
- Naturally curious and self-motivated, with a problem-solving mindset and a drive to improve processes and outcomes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
