About the Role
The Physical Therapy Aide performs designated routine tasks to the operation of the physical therapy service and may assist the physical therapist in setting up patient for therapy and/or assisting the therapist in carrying out treatment program.
Responsibilities
- Performs designated routine tasks to the operation of the physical therapy service.
- Assists the physical therapist in setting up patients for therapy.
- Assists the physical therapist in carrying out treatment programs.
Requirements
- Must demonstrate ability to follow complex directions.
- Must have physical strength sufficient to assist patients in completion of rehabilitative therapies such as weight transfer, gait training, etc.
- Must have ability to communicate with patients and family members in an empathetic fashion in support of rehabilitative goals.
