About the Role
New Castle Building Products is seeking a steady, highly-qualified CDL A Driver for their White Plains, NY location. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in predictable, consistent, and orderly work environments, and who value safety.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport material to the client's location.
- Load and unload material from the warehouse to and from the truck.
- Unload material at the customer's site.
- Drive heavy-duty / commercial trucks and operate warehouse & truck mounted forklifts.
- Adhere to DOT regulations, including vehicle inspections and ELD hours of service.
- Load and offload material at job sites, checking for order accuracy.
- Follow safety procedures and policies.
- Perform frequent lifting and moving of material up to 80 pounds.
- Utilize logistical software applications, such as Descartes Mobile Link.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and provide a high level of customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of Class A driving experience.
- Warehouse and truck-mounted forklift experience preferred.
- OSHA 10 preferred.
- Hazmat Endorsement preferred.
- Prior experience in building materials is a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented and customer service-oriented.
