About the Role
This role is responsible for reviewing condominium and cooperative housing projects to determine eligibility under investor, regulatory, and lending guidelines. The Project Analyst conducts detailed reviews of property-related documentation and evaluates projects against agency, investor, and portfolio guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed reviews of property-related documentation, including homeowner association (HOA) financial statements, board documents, insurance policies, litigation records, property inspection reports, and safety and health-related information.
- Evaluate projects against agency, investor, and portfolio guidelines.
- Analyze supporting documentation and request additional information when needed.
- Issue project approval decisions.
- Maintain accurate records within internal systems.
- Communicate project outcomes and requirements to underwriting teams, sales partners, operations teams, risk partners, and other key stakeholders.

- Experience interpreting and applying mortgage lending, investor, and regulatory guidelines, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and portfolio lending requirements.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to evaluate complex documentation and make sound eligibility determinations.
- Knowledge of mortgage underwriting principles, secondary market guidelines, and lending regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with experience reviewing financial, insurance, legal, and property-related documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex requirements and decisions to business partners and stakeholders.
- Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies.
