About the Role

The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a 24-month program designed to accelerate development through immersive, hands-on experience across key business areas. Participants will gain exposure to core banking fundamentals and strategic innovation, preparing them for future roles within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Build a strong foundation in banking through rotations across core businesses, including Personal Banking and Commercial Banking.
  • Gain hands-on experience, develop business acumen, and understand how different parts of the bank collaborate to deliver customer value.
  • Learn about digital banking products, everyday banking, lending, and payment solutions.
  • Support initiatives focused on enhancing customer experience and digital banking capabilities.
  • Participate in projects involving product development, process improvement, or business analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic priorities and customer-focused solutions.
  • Develop an understanding of how EQ supports businesses, commercial clients, and institutional partners.
  • Gain exposure to commercial lending and financing solutions.
  • Learn how commercial banking teams evaluate opportunities and support business growth.
  • Participate in financial analysis, market research, and business development activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to support client needs and business objectives.
  • Tailor experience through elective rotations aligned with interests, strengths, and career aspirations.
  • Contribute to product innovation, customer experience enhancements, market research, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives, strategic planning, and business growth opportunities.
  • Develop skills in analysis, problem-solving, and executive-level communication.
  • Understand how financial institutions balance growth and innovation with sound risk management.
  • Gain exposure to risk analytics, governance, reporting, and regulatory practices.
  • Leverage data to solve business problems, generate actionable insights, and support decision-making.
  • Support initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness, customer experience, and business performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Gain exposure to functions that support and enable EQ's growth through projects focused on business performance, technology, transformation, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Transition into a permanent role aligned with strengths, interests, and long-term career aspirations after program completion.

Requirements

  • Must be a final-year undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related discipline with high academic performance.
  • Must be entering final year of undergraduate studies in Fall 2026.
  • Must be graduating by Summer 2027.
  • Must submit a cover letter, resume, and unofficial transcript as one document.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an initial chat.
  • Successful candidates will be invited to a virtual second-round interview.
  • Final interviews will be held in person.
  • Final offers are expected following the final assessment stage, aptitude testing, and background checks in October 2026.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check and credit check.
