About the Role
Parsons is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to work on large-scale Infrastructure projects in Southern Ontario, including highway, road, bridge, and underground infrastructure developments. The role involves conducting daily inspections to ensure contract adherence and documenting site conditions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections to determine contract adherence and conformance with contract specifications and document site conditions.
- Conduct inspection as per applicable inspection requirements, such as MTO’s Construction Administration and Inspection Specifications (CAIS).
- Reporting of installed quantities to verify applications for monthly payment and change order work.
- Maintaining detailed diaries and photographs to document daily construction activities.
- Maintains office files related to the project, quantity calculations, and other documentation as required by the construction contract.
- Verifying compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental regulations.
- Coordination of onsite sub-consultants and quality assurance material testing.
Requirements
- Must provide own transportation to and from job site.
- Valid Class “G” driver’s license
- Ability to lift 25 kg
- Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends if required
Skills
- Knowledge of the requirements of MTO’s Construction Administration and Inspection Specifications (CAIS)
- Knowledge of applicable design standards, OPS specifications, standard drawings, and quality control / quality assurance material testing methods.
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to utilize computer software such as MS Word and Excel

- Degree or Diploma in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, and/or combination of related experience
- PEO registered, or OACETT registered Road Construction Senior Inspector (rcsi)
Salary/Compensations
- $32.64 - $56.68
