About the Role
Manage and evolve a client's Security Education & Awareness programme to protect people, research, and intellectual property by driving security-conscious behavior through training, communications, and engagement. The role requires understanding the client's unique research culture to create engaging, collaborative content that explains security controls without being bureaucratic or alarmist.
Responsibilities
- Own the annual mandatory security training cycle from end-to-end, including vendor coordination, rollout, completion tracking, dashboard building, and escalation.
- Produce location-specific security briefings and audio content for major conferences, incorporating threat intelligence.
- Deliver monthly live new hire security onboarding sessions, create exercises, assessments, and manage follow-up communications.
- Coordinate quarterly security briefings for high-profile researchers and present threat updates at leadership forums.
- Maintain and expand the internal security portal with training content, threat updates, and guidance for AI research workflows.
- Produce regular security awareness content across internal channels to maintain security awareness between formal training.
Requirements
- Proven track record managing security education and awareness programmes at scale in a technology or research organisation.
- Strong content creation skills across video, e-learning, written communications, infographics, and audio.
- Broad corporate security expertise including insider risk, IP protection, travel and personal security, and event security.
- Ability to distill complex threats into clear, actionable guidance for non-security audiences.
- Credibility and gravitas to present confidently at all organizational levels.
- Comfortable operating autonomously as the sole owner of the programme, driving strategy, planning, and delivery.
- Experience collaborating with senior leadership, legal, communications, and people teams.
- An automation mindset with experience building workflows, dashboards, and pipelines.
- Willingness and ability to build an appreciation for the client's unique research culture and tailor communications accordingly.
