About the Role

This role provides leadership and direction for the Group Chief Information Office (GCIO) third-party risk and control environment, setting standards for the Third-Party Risk Management team and managed service provider. The position is accountable for the quality, completeness, and auditability of enterprise risk reporting, ensuring disciplined lifecycle management of risks, controls, issues, actions, and governance reporting, while driving timely outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, co-ordinate, and performance-manage delivery across internal and external third-party teams, setting clear priorities, ways of working, and quality expectations.
  • Execute and maintain the GCIO Third Party Risk Governance strategy for coordinated, consistent, effective, and complete adoption of the GCIO execution plan for Group Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Policy and Framework.
  • Chair GCIO TPRM Meetings and represent GCIO TPRM at Global C-Level meetings.
  • Provide risk management support, subject matter expertise, and direction for Third Party Risk related activities and issues in conjunction with the Global Third Party Risk Officer across GCIO.
  • Act as a point of contact, interface, and champion for all Global TPRM related matters on behalf of GCIO.
  • Ensure effective end-to-end visibility of GCIO Third-Party Risk Management team activity, reflecting golden source systems of record (actions, risks, controls, issues, dependencies).

Requirements

  • Strong experience in third-party risk management and fundamentals of relevant risk domains.
  • Proven experience leading/managing a team.
  • Broad understanding of how risk and control environments are structured and operate in regulated organizations.
  • Exposure to managing audit/compliance processes for third-party risk and control environments.
  • Strong programme/project management capability; able to co-ordinate cross-functional stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills; able to operate under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong delivery and quality focus; able to negotiate and interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
