About the Role

The Division of Neurology at the University of Toronto is seeking a full-time Academic Neurologist specializing in Epilepsy. This role involves clinical service, research, and teaching, with a preference for candidates with expertise in Quality Improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical service in Epilepsy within the Division of Neurology, Krembil Brain Institute.
  • Provide on-call, inpatient, and ambulatory care.
  • Engage in teaching as per Division of Neurology requirements.
  • Conduct research and clinical focus on Epilepsy.

Requirements

  • Eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher.
  • Preference for a position description of Clinician in Quality Improvement.
  • Must hold an MD degree or equivalent.
  • Must have, or be eligible for, certification in Neurology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Must have, or be eligible for, licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
  • For Clinician in Quality Improvement, advanced training in quality improvement or equivalent is required.
  • Scholarly excellence for Clinician in Quality Improvement will be assessed by advanced training, successful quality improvement initiatives, evidence of practice and/or equipment innovations, invited presentations at significant conferences, awards, accolades, and other related accomplishments.
