About the Role
We are currently seeking to fill the position of Manufacturing Engineer for our Buffalo location. We are looking for a highly motivated, well organized, team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of manufacturing including welding, machining, inspection, and assembly.
Responsibilities
- Construct and support detailed manufacturing plans for complex parts and assemblies throughout the entire manufacturing process
- Develop procedures and travelers to ensure successful execution of the manufacturing plan
- Create step-by-step manufacturing models or drawings that will be used throughout the manufacturing process
- Support Project Managers with technical expertise
- Investigate solutions to difficult challenges that arise during a project
- Participate in project meetings and communicate with customers
- Structure BOMs and MOMs in ERP system
- Utilize good analytical and design skills with the ability to “think out of the box” for concept development
- Perform mechanical design and calculations
- Drive LEAN practices and cGMP
- Assist in developing equipment pricing
- Assist with supplier evaluations
- Assist with debug of the automation equipment
- Assist with installation at customer sites if required
- Develop and deliver presentations to external and internal customers
- Adherence to company policies and ISO Standards
- Provide assistance in all departments as required by KTC management
Requirements
- Knowledge of machine components, geometric tolerances, machining fabrication processes, machine controls and pneumatics
- Experience and/or knowledge of welding and fabrication
- Experience in an environment that fabricates custom equipment and industrial machinery
- Experience required in the Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
- Good communication skills are needed for conveying design specification, process details, and control strategies to potential clients and internal customers
- Knowledge of ERP system and necessary modules within
- Must be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Proven experience working in a fast paced, high energy environment with an ability to multi-task and adjust to ever-changing priorities
- Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical design
