About the Role

Teya is building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe, focusing on simple tools, thoughtful design, and real human support. The Operational Resilience Lead will establish and manage Teya's operational resilience capability within the first line of defence, ensuring the company can effectively handle operational disruptions. This role requires an AI-and-automation-first mindset to create a scalable resilience program that avoids manual overhead.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the operational resilience framework with an AI-first approach, automating evidence gathering, mapping refreshes, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Ship a working v1 of new processes quickly and iterate, prioritizing a lightweight framework that generates insight early.
  • Own and maintain the register of important business services, ensuring classifications, impact tolerances, and resource mappings are current via automated data feeds.
  • Build the end-to-end mapping capability, including people, processes, technology, facilities, data, and third parties, prioritizing data from systems of record.
  • Design and run the scenario testing program, including severe-but-plausible scenarios, using AI tooling to accelerate analysis and remediation.
  • Coordinate the annual self-assessment and associated board and regulatory submissions, using AI to draft and stress-test narratives.
  • Act as the operational focal point for major incidents affecting important business services, driving post-incident reviews and tracking remediation.
  • Partner with Technology and Information Security on ICT and cyber resilience, and DORA-aligned testing.
  • Partner with the Outsourcing and Third Party Risk team on the resilience of critical third-party arrangements.
  • Produce management information for senior governance forums through automated dashboards and self-refreshing views.
  • Ensure the framework meets regulatory requirements (FCA PS21/3, PRA SS1/21, DORA) and exceeds them.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in operational resilience, business continuity, or operational risk within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Working knowledge of FCA PS21/3, PRA SS1/21, DORA, and the Bank of England's operational resilience framework.
  • Hands-on experience with the identification of important business services, impact tolerance setting, mapping, and scenario testing.
  • A future-focused approach to risk work, actively using AI tooling and seeking opportunities for automation.
  • A bias to action, designing at pace, shipping v1, and iterating.
  • Comfortable working with data and automation, capable of specifying, building, or configuring pipelines and dashboards.
  • A pragmatic, risk-based mindset, viewing the first line of defence as enabling business velocity and safety.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to structure cross-functional work and ensure accountability.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator, capable of presenting to senior stakeholders and producing written reports.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.
