About the Role
The Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies at Fairfield University seeks a full-time faculty member to teach in our Accelerated Second Degree Nursing Program in Austin, Texas. The program emphasizes competency-based education in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
Responsibilities
- Teach in the Accelerated Second Degree Nursing Program.
- Incorporate simulation pedagogy into courses.
- Perform other duties, responsibilities, and activities as required by supervisor and as departmental/University needs indicate.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in nursing required.
- Active unencumbered nursing license in Texas.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a nursing faculty member.
- Academic or nursing leadership experience commensurate with the mission, goals, and expected program outcomes.
- Documented education in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development and competency-based assessment.
- Innovative in curricular development.
- Prepared to incorporate simulation pedagogy into courses.
