About the Role
We are looking to hire a Manager to join our M&A Consulting Services team to deliver trusted advice and practical solutions for clients, supporting them from start to finish in their mergers and acquisitions.
Responsibilities
- Drive client thinking to uncover strategic and operational capability of acquisitions or divestments.
- Bring a strategic point of view, structured problem solving, consulting skills, and disciplined planning.
- Lead teams to assess the operational, strategic, and synergy value of client deals pre-deal.
- Drive integration or separation planning post-deal to help clients realize full potential.
- Perform financial analysis and due diligence for proposed transactions.
- Develop strategic growth options and acquisition strategies for clients.
- Prepare acquisition/carve-out business cases for stakeholder review.
- Conduct pre-deal advisory work including strategy design, market and target assessment, and problem-solving.
- Develop integration/separation strategies to extract maximum value, including operating model design and change management.
- Execute transactions, including negotiating Transitional Service Agreements and planning for Day-1 readiness.
- Manage large-scale transactions end-to-end.
- Contribute to practice and business development activities, such as developing thought leadership or sales materials.
- Coach junior staff on the M&A lifecycle and project management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate qualification (e.g., CA, CFA, MBA).
- 5+ years of advisory/consulting experience, ideally from a Big 4, strategy, or boutique consulting firm, or an internal strategy function of a large corporate.
- Natural aptitude for problem-solving and structured thinking.
- Proficiency with a strategy toolkit.
- Experience with the broader deal-oriented process and environment.
- Excellent financial and analytical skills.
- Articulate communication and confident presentation skills.
- Pragmatic commercial acumen to identify risks and develop solutions.
- Demonstrated ability in structuring complex problems and communicating them to a team.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and willingness to deal with ambiguity and change.
- Project management experience in planning, overseeing, and leading large-scale projects.
