About the Role

Ares is seeking a motivated Associate to join the Ares Insurance Solutions (AIS) Strategy Group. This group focuses on asset management, origination, risk analytics, capital, and M&A services for insurance clients globally. The Associate will support sourcing, evaluating, and executing pivotal initiatives for Ares Management and AIS, including acquisitions, investments, partnerships, and business development.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed financial and market analysis to support investment decisions.
Prepare complex financial models in Excel.
Screen new investment opportunities.
Prepare investment committee memos and board presentations.
Analyze investment performance, maintain financial models, and track market activities.
Assist with investment closings and due diligence.
Support strategic projects for new business development initiatives.
Provide direct support to senior management as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field (MBA or CFA is a plus).
7+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, consulting, or principal investing, preferably in asset management, financial services, or insurance.
Impeccable integrity and trustworthiness, with the ability to handle sensitive information.
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage workload to meet deadlines.
High attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with limited supervision.
Private equity caliber drive and ability to work effectively in a collegial, fast-paced, demanding, and dynamic environment.
Creative problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
