About the Role

Barnard College's Department of Political Science seeks a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in comparative politics and/or international relations. The college is particularly interested in scholars focusing on South Asia, the Middle East, American Foreign Policy, technology/social media and politics, data and politics, race/ethnic politics, and/or the global politics of immigration/migration. This role requires exceptional promise in scholarship with potential for publication and demonstrated excellence in teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scholarship with potential for publication in major refereed journals and/or University presses.
  • Demonstrate excellence in teaching at or beyond the level of teaching assistant.

Requirements

  • PhD in hand by the start of the appointment.
