About the Role
The Engagement Specialist promotes the agency’s mission statement and values through compassionate communication with current clients who are having difficulty engaging in treatment. As the initial point of contact, you will be responsible for identifying and communicating with these clients, sending letters, tracking communication, uploading documentation, adding notes and alerts, and providing alternate scheduling options. Engagement Specialists are also often the first point of contact for potential clients seeking services, including those being discharged from hospitals and other facilities, and are responsible for providing education about FSI services, guiding individuals and scheduling initial appointments.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of identifying and communicating with clients having difficulty engaging in treatment.
- Send letters, track communication, upload documentation, add notes and alerts, and provide alternate scheduling options.
- Serve as the first point of contact for potential clients seeking services, including those discharged from hospitals and other facilities.
- Provide education about FSI services, guide individuals, and schedule initial appointments.
- Promote rapid re-engagement in behavioral health services through timely communication and documentation.
- Ensure accurate data collection.
- Educate prospective clients on services and attendance policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Human Services, or a closely related field with two (2) years of experience in scheduling or case management, OR an associate degree in a related field with four (4) years of experience in intake scheduling or case management.
- Intake or case management experience in a human services organization is essential.
- Working knowledge of behavioral health terminology and client needs is essential.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without work sponsorship.

Salary/Compensations
- $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
