About the Role

Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) is seeking an Anesthesiologist for locum coverage in Fall (September and October) and January. This role offers the opportunity to engage in research and medical teaching with Dalhousie University. CBRH is a 250-bed tertiary care institution serving the Eastern Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority, with an Anesthesiology service equipped for specialized care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full scope of practice as an anesthesiologist, including patient care within the Eastern Zone.
  • Participate in on-call duties.
  • Operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
  • Be responsible to the Zone Department Head of Anesthesia for professional responsibilities and quality of practice.

Requirements

  • Royal College of Canada certification.
  • Eligible for full-license with the College of Physician Surgeons Nova Scotia.
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
