About the Role

As the Assistant Residence Manager, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and nurturing environment for our residents, ensuring the residence operates seamlessly and aligns with each individual's habilitation plan and necessary support. Your dedication will help maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and agency policies and procedures, making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily operations of the residence, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, agency policies, and quality programs.
  • Oversee individuals' personal allowances, bank accounts, and financial records.
  • Monitor medication administration to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Promote the health, well-being, and personal choice of individuals.
  • Assist in the training, supervision, and evaluation of all assigned direct care staff.
  • Assist the manager in creating and maintaining weekly staff schedules.
  • Oversee all program documentation.
  • Perform duties of a direct support professional as needed.
  • Complete incident reports as required.
  • Proactively communicate with families to provide updates on the individuals within the residence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the I/DD field.
  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle emergencies in a professional manner.
  • A valid and clean New York State driver’s license is required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Daily standing, bending and lifting.
  • Smartphone required.

Skills

  • Familiarity with eVero, ADP, and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Work Type

  • Full-Time
  • 40 hours per week
  • Tuesday - Saturday 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (VARIES)

Education Level

  • Associate’s degree in related field preferred, minimum of 60 college credits.

Salary/Compensations

  • $23.00/hr.
